Magnetic Limescale Eliminator - Questions and Answers

Dear Deon,

Since fitting the device there has been less deposits seen on the kettle element, but we can clearly see particles of limescale floating in the water when filling the kettle. I assume this has come from the element and is loose and breaks up when the jet of water from the tap hits it.
We also have a cold water tank in the loft which supplies the baths, wash basins and toilets upstairs, but the cold water tap in the kitchen is from the mains, so the water filling the kettle is modified somewhat by the magnetic device.
Now we have been in the house nine months we can clearly see limescale deposits in the toilets and baths, and have to regularly use a remover which is not completely successful.
I have refitted the device three times now to the 22mm incoming supply and is a perfect fit with all magnets touching. So would you please suggest what can be done as a resolution?

Lime scale removal from water pipes

Our Magnetic Limesale Eliminator is a slow reversal process clearing out the lime scale deposits which have built up over years of lime scale accumulation in the water system. The amount of time to completely clear out all lime scale traces in the system is dependant on the amount of lime scale that has built up over the passing years. If our Magnetic Limesale Eliminator were to work faster, the water would turn pale white milky colour when running water from the tap. This does happen in certain areas but can’t be avoided. It will improve over time as the system is slowly cleared/flushed out.

Removing lime scale from water

Our Magnetic Limesale Eliminator does not remove the lime scale from the water, but merely suspends the lime scale in the water, in order to flush the lime scale out of the system as-well-as slowly dislodging the older lime scale deposits in the system. Hence your observation in seeing particles of lime scales in your kettle. The magnetically charged particles slowly dislodge the lime scale from the walls of the kettle and all other areas of your household plumbing and appliances.

Lime scale build-up in a boiler

I replaced the boiler in our home a number of years ago and to my surprise found the water tank extremely heavy when taking it out. I was naturally curious and cut the tank open only to find an astonishing amount of lime scale build-up in the tank. It must have reduced the water capacity by almost 50%. That is how much lime scale deposit there was in the tank, needless to say the lack of heating efficiency through the heater element trying to heat up the water through the congested heater element clogged with lime scale around the element.
I was absolutely amazed at the build-up. I’m sorry I didn’t take any pictures at the time.
This will save a considerable amount of electricity consumption not having to heat up the water through a thick layer of lime scale deposit, not to mention the saving of the increased lifespan of the heater element.

Review of the effects after installation of a Magnetic Limescale Eliminator

A friend of mine Ted, in the villageof Comberton, West of Cambridge, sceptically installed a Magnetic Limescale Eliminator 15 years ago to the water mains of his home. How to stop staining of toilet and bath

With regards to the staining of the toilet and bath, this will improve over time as the amount of lime scale in your system is reduced.

How long does it take to remove lime scale from water pipes using a Magnetic Limescale Eliminator

We live in a house which is over 350 years old in a village West of Cambridge. Since moving in over 11 years ago, I have replaced our power-shower for the third time. I used to replace the power-shower every 2 – 2.5 years with regular monotony. Since installing one of our own Magnetic Limescale Eliminators I have not had to replace the power-shower. It is now 4.5 years since I replaced the last one which incidentally has been the same make and model each time for ease of installation. The shower head used to block up regularly as well which we very seldom have to do now. We still occasionally use the “Harpick, Power Plus” in the toilet to remove stains but that is slowly becoming less frequent as the water pipes are slowly getting flushed out.

A tip you might consider
We use a water filter to remove suspended particles for our drinking water as well as using this filtered water for our kettle.

Thank you for all the information provided above. The house is not a year old yet, so we are using the lime scale eliminator as a preventative, so any machinery and systems using water do not get horrendous deposits such as you describe.
The filter for kettle water seems a good idea. So is this the jug type with the changeable filter, such as sold in supermarkets? We still get marks on the chrome and shower glass but the new Cillet Bang Limescale works very well. Will this ever get better with the magnets or is this something you have to live with in chalky areas?

Thanks for your reply.
As I mentioned, the magnets keep the lime scale in suspension and flushes it out of the system, so with regards to the marks on the chrome and shower glass, this will probably remain, because the lime scale is still in the water.
